Fun Fun Fun With Chemistry Magic Tricks

Remember how you felt as a kid when that funny guy in the clown outfit reached behind your ear and produced a quarter out of thin air? You couldn’t believe your eyes, and that feeling of fun and wonder still runs through your mind every time you see a magic show. Well, that feeling is not reserved just for you; the majority of people also feel that way when they think of magic and the question hangs in the air at every show of “what the heck just happened”.

On the other hand, chemistry has always held a fascination also; and the thought of combining the fun of magic with the marvel of chemistry to produce chemistry magic tricks, is far out. Remember those days in school when you sat in the chemistry lab surrounded by flasks and beakers and Bunsen burners, and you marveled at the science in general: just think how powerful the combination of the two would be. Just think how people would react if you went one step further and got together some quick magic tricks that were based on chemistry and performed them.

Magic tricks in general are showstoppers when they are done correctly, so much so that even the most hardened disbeliever will be caught up in the fun and the spirit of the trick simply because they can’t believe what they just saw, and can’t figure out a rational explanation. Most people have had positive experiences with magic sometime in their lives, from when they were a little kid and some funny person reached behind their ear when they weren’t paying attention, and pulled a quarter out of the air; to actually seeing a show where the headliner was a master of deception and made a person seemingly disappear into the air.

To find the types of chemistry magic tricks that you could do easily without blowing up your audience or setting the place on fire, you need to check out several sites on the Internet that will outline lots of fun, safe, and easy tricks you can learn. The Internet has a plethora of entertaining chemistry magic tricks that almost anyone can pull off; all you have to do is practice them a few times, make sure you have the correct materials for the trick, and then go for it. You’ll be amazed how easy and fun it is.

Kids are the best audience in the universe because they believe almost anything you tell them; and because they don’t have the worldliness or experiences to know what it is you are doing, when you make something burn out of thin air, or make something turn red by just swooping your hand around; they are open mouthed and excited as all get out because they can’t make heads or tails out of what they just saw. Some fun chemistry magic tricks for kids would be easy ones to perform, like making slime out of glue, water, and borax powder. Or building a volcano cone on a table with hidden piles of baking soda and detergent inside, and add some water with your abracadabra ingredient-vinegar– and lo and behold; the volcano “erupts” blowing out all kinds of foam that makes the kids turn inside out with glee.

The kids are certainly fun when it comes to performing chemistry magic tricks, but don’t shortchange the adults either. Most adults are kids at heart, and don’t really know all that much about chemistry; so you have free rein when it comes to combining some of your favorite magic tricks with a touch of chemistry and just flooring the audience with your ability to pull off these simple tricks. Here’s one trick you can do that will wow the audience and takes very little expertise to pull off. It’s called the Burning Dollar Bill trick and it takes very few ingredients to perform. All you need is a dollar bill, some water mixed with alcohol, and a match. The bill is soaked in the alcohol/water mix before you start, and the idea is that because alcohol and the cloth material of the dollar bill have different points in temperature at which they will burn; the alcohol will burn much more readily before the dollar bill catches fire, and you have the water as a wedge between the flash point of the alcohol and the bill. You present the damp bill and light it; the alcohol burns and engulfs the bill in flames, but the bill does not burn. You blow out the flames and eureka, the bill doesn’t even have a mark on it. Your audience bows in admiration at your magical expertise.

Chemistry magic tricks are fun and exciting and real icebreakers when done in the correct way for the right crowd, and lots of ideas for tricks can be found quickly on the Internet. They can be as easy or as difficult as the person performing them can master; but all in all they promote conversation and a lot of chuckling, elbowing, and good will providing a good time to be had by all, not only for the crowd but also for the performer.

What You Need To Know About An Amazing Card Trick

Magic has always held a certain amount of fascination for the average person, because when confronted with an accomplished magician, the wonderment and sense of disbelief in what your eyes are seeing and what your brain knows can’t be true are just too much to comprehend. One of the more integral parts of a good magicians battery of tricks is an amazing card trick or two, and these are simple enough that the man on the street can be duped every time he sees it, and yet wonder how it is done, and maybe could he do the trick himself.

What better way to impress your friends than to do an amazing card trick every now and then to keep them wondering just “how did you do that” and “do it again so I can figure it out”. Card tricks are relatively easy to learn but can be screwed up just as easily without making sure you know what you are doing and have done the trick enough on your own so you don’t make any mistakes pulling it off.

There is only one way to become proficient at performing magic tricks, even the simplest starter group of tricks including an amazing card trick; and that is to practice until you think you will turn blue. There is no substitute for intense practice when it comes to magic and performing, and this is the only way you can insure that you will not make a mistake while you are in the spotlight performing a trick. The more you practice, the more you will uncover any possible thing that could go wrong during the enactment of the trick, and you will be prepared for anything and be able to head it off while “onstage” and under the scrutiny of the crowd.

To gain mastery over any trick you would like to do to impress people, especially the more difficult amazing card trick; you must arm yourself with as much information on how the tricks are done and what you must look out for when you are performing the tricks. There have been tons of books written about the subject of magic and just how certain tricks are set up and performed for maximum impact, and they can be found in libraries, shops that cater to magic and magicians, and especially in this day and age, on the Internet. The Net is rife with sites that can tell you just about anything you want to know about magic and how to pull off an amazing card trick or two, and there exist sites as well that explain these tricks in detail.

One of the best sources to go to for help in learning how to perform magic tricks and what the secrets are to the mechanics of pulling off a trick down to the last important detail, are magic shops. These are places that carry the most sophisticated of materials ranging in difficulty from “how to” books on parlor games and tricks for the uninitiated that want to impress their friends and co-workers with a little “sleight of hand” around the water cooler; to those books and treatises that explain the details about the most difficult of tricks that take months of practice to get them right and flawless each time they are performed. Certainly you could find an amazing card trick or two to pull off to get yourself started in that huge battery of material contained in the inventory of a good magic shop.

Magic tricks can cover a wide range of difficulty, and there is something for everyone in this area. You can find materials to perform something as simple as an amazing card trick, and in the same space, something that can be used for performing an extremely difficult trick such as making an object disappear into thin air. People can be taken in just as easily in all ranges of the tricks difficulty, and watching you pull a card from behind the ear of an audience member can have just as much impact on the audience as performing the more difficult tricks, if you have the knack of executing the trick and can pull it off flawlessly.

Watching the crowd get suckered in and held in spellbinding disbelief is the goal of every magic performer no matter how proficient he is. Whether you are in the center of the house at a party with friends, or in the center of a stage in an auditorium; the impact you can have on the crowd of onlookers can be overwhelming if you are good at what you are doing and they just can’t believe what they are seeing and want to see more. Magic has a way with people that no other venue can conjure up, and taking that ball and running with it when you can is a most rewarding feeling; not only for you, because you know that your hours of study and practice are paying off, but also for the crowd watching because they feel they are “getting their money’s worth” literally and figuratively.

Does Conversational Hypnosis Really Work?

Communication is indeed a tool that can be very powerful. This can be illustrated in the case of conversational hypnosis.

According to definition, conversational hypnosis is the procedure that involves a persons perception to be altered to respond to a specific kind of problem. The main principle in conversational hypnosis is interaction.

A session of conversational hypnosis usually starts with a stage called the affinity. Hypnosis only works if there is rapport that exists between the hypnotist and the patient. This rapport is fostered with the hypnotist expressing to the patient that he empathizes with the patient.

Take for example we have a case of an agoraphobic person. This person has an inexplicable fear of crowds and the hypnotist is trying to coax him out of that situation. When the patient tells the hypnotist that it is hard, the hypnotist should reply with something along the lines of I know it is hard.

The next step in conversational hypnosis is the distraction. After the hypnotist gets the trust of the patient, the hypnotist now goes on to distract the patient by directing the patients mind to a different thoughts other than the problem. This is done so that the patient can let go of his problem for a minute and unwittingly explore the idea of different solutions.

The hypnotist usually asks several questions to successfully allow the patient to think of something else.

Just like in the example I have established a while ago, the hypnotist may start asking different question such as, How would you feel if nobody else existed but you? Those questions do not have to make any sense as long as the patient gets to stop thinking of his problem for the time being.

The final step is the proposition. Once the hypnotist successfully leads the patient to think of something else, then the hypnotist can introduce different suggestions to finally solve the problem.

Like the hypnotist can start telling the patient what life would be like if he started getting comfortable with people.

Beginner Magic Tricks

As many have heard and several have asserted there are tons of amateur card tricks for people of each age to enjoy.

The result of this sorcery trick is that you claim the age old order of “Pick a Card, Any Card. “You then have a volunteer pick a card and you pretend to lose the card in the deck and then later you magically find it.

All you want when it comes to materials is a deck of cards.

Then when you have the volunteer put the card in the deck just ensure that you split the deck where the card you memorized is in the spot where the volunteer is going to put their card back to the deck.

Look for the card that you memorized and right there will be the card that the volunteer picked earlier.

When you practice a bit you will be completely prepared to show off your talent of mastering new card tricks to your family. The trick of “Find the Card” is an example of the oldest tricks in the book and a great trick to try first.

Just remember it is not the sole amateur card trick out there and not everyone will be impressed simply because it is old as time itself. So be certain to get into some more varied tricks as speedily as you feel you are prepared.
