It’s Not Hard To Be A 5 Tool Poker Player

Naturally, those who scout for baseball players based their find into 5 factors known as the 5 tools. That’s the reason why those all around players are called 5 tool players. These 5 tools that I’m talking about concerning baseball are:

Hit for power Hit for average Run well Are good defensively Have good arm strength

However, poker players have different classifications compared to baseball. They are also more in the mental side rather than the physical. Here are the 5 tools needed by poker players to be a good all around player.

Selective Aggressive deceptive experienced A thinker

Selective means picking your spots well. Starting from the cards you are using for starters. Knowing when to bluff, it’s very important to identify the spots wisely because it is really important. But don’t think that selective players are not tight players too. This is because selective players know how to adjust their play in every opponent they encounter and tight players use one strategy to all their opponents respectively.

Aggressiveness is also a must for poker players because it allows them to win the pot in every way possible and these traits is also needed to get the respect of your opponents. There are tight and loose players who are actually good but for me there are no good passive players.

Deceptive players have a lot of tricks on their sleeves. They also know how to use these tricks on their opponents, applying the appropriate trick on the right adversary. Poker tricks are only effective when use at the right person. Deceptive players move are also unpredictable which makes them a dangerous opponent.

Experience players almost knew it all. They are always in control of their emotions when things unfortunately go on the wrong side. They can also make quick decisions when face with a challenging situation. Their experience permits them to gather up a lot of info from their experience when it’s time to decide. They are always ready for the inevitable.

Poker players who think in advance compared to their opponents always have a plan in hand. But they also know how to change these plans when necessary.

So do you want to become a good all around poker player now? Or are you already one of them?

This is the Big Slick!

The big slick is actually a hand that contains an Ace and a King. It is beyond doubt that it is a good hand and should be played in an aggressive way. Although for the most part; I see players lose all their packed stack with these two cards. It’s this false belief that the hand is actually invincible causing players to waste all their chips, only to see the pot being taken down with pocket 5’s.

This is where the game becomes a play of luck, is this truly what you want? I’m absolutely certain that you wouldn’t want that feeling of uncertainty while you play. What I do is, I strive as hard as I can to eliminate luck out of my way as I play poker, as much as I can. Remember that you are the captain of your ship, if you will it to be that way then you decide if you win or lose the game. Simple as that!

“So how do I play Big Slick?” would probably be the first question that comes to your mind. The answer is plain and simple: avoid being reckless but maintain that aggressive impression in your game. Let me give you an example as to of how these things are manage.

I was instantly right of the button in a $1-2 no limit game when I was dealt the monster! Peter, one of my opponents, the third person to act before the flop and made a raise of $10 to play. Two of my other opponents call the bet while the action is on me and my AK of diamonds. By this time this is where I was certain to locate where I’m at in the hand, in contrast with other players. So I challenged Peter to see how strong he actually is. I re-raise it by $40 to play.

If you are wondering what the point of the re-raise is; it is because that re-raising gives you an idea of your standing. It gives you an idea of what your opponents are actually holding, a rather precise read about your opponents. Supposing that one of your opponents made call, what this implies is that you have an excellent hand compared to all of your opponents. Another one is to have the power over the course of betting. It is very necessary to re-raise, because you would find out where you’re at in a hand.

Strong players are determined to follow up a pre-flop raise during a post-flop raise. So having to be the one to raise the preflop means that my opponents are fairly expected to check me on the flop. This situation is to my big advantage, even if it takes not hitting an Ace or King on the flop. It doesn’t matter what hits as I’ve gotten myself in a very good position to win this game after the flop, even if it was Peter, who would re-raise it for $40, which would call my preflop.

As expected, Peter checks, as he is very confused of what actually my hand is. Now is the ideal time to indulge myself into playing aggressively. With a $50 bet, I can now stand for the wired pair. Peter was left with mucks in his hand as I rake in a full pot with my Ace high.

The point to the re-raise prior to the flop is basically to get you out of hand. This is if you really need to, that’s why it’s really important to do so. I would have gotten mucked the hand if only Peter had come back with a larger bet or an all-in. Always consider re-raising the flop, as you can see it really did it for me.

The Greatest Poker Player in the Planet Today

There’s no doubt in mind of the professional poker players to whom they will place their money in a table full of known poker players, they are going to put their money to Phil Ivey. The problem is that the general population is not aware of him because he’s not yet win a huge tournament.

Phil possesses 8 Final Tables in WPT events, and 1 win. He as well gets 6 WSOP bracelets (he won #6 mere days ago) but none of these bracelets are in Texas Hold’ Em, with a few exceptions Hold’ Em is the only poker game adaptation on television. Phil make a lot of money every year on the poker tables unknown to the ordinary citizens. That’s why he is so famous as the most excellent poker player in the world because he is a very good in cash game plays making it as his way of living. Tournaments are not his main priority. His experienced in various cash games is seen on the WSOP bracelets he owns.

Phil make millions each year on the poker tables unknown to the ordinary citizens. That’s why he is so famous as the most excellent poker player in the world because he is a very good in cash game plays making it as his way of living. Tournaments are not his main priority.

His ability to win cash games can be seen on his rewards. He got 6 bracelets so far from 5 different WSOP games. You see, if you want to be a superstar like him that plays against the best poker rivals like Doyle and Co., you need to have definite knowledge about all kinds of poker games, because in these games you’ll encounter a mixed combination’s of games each night.

This is due to the fact that all poker players has a game preference in poker and they tried hard just to include it in the rotation.

Phil Ivey is also played well in the 7 Card Stud. He already won 2 PLO bracelets and 2 mixed events bracelets so far. He also acquired a number of H.OR.S.E final table tournaments.

There are no other player who plays well on those games than Ivey. He also played with rather very high stakes. How high can he bet? Last time he played with Texas billionaire, Andy Beal, with $25,000/$50,000 Limit Hold ‘Em poker and he won over $16,000,000 just for three days.

You can actually say that there are other players who play better than anyone else with regards to poker. But for me, there is no greater player than Phil Ivey himself. And he only needs a Main Event win to persuade others to believe that his the best player in the whole world.
